This letter is to document the outstanding service our family received from Al and his team of professionals. We listed our home through Al back in 2004. His listing presentation was relaxed and very informative. Within days a professional photographer took dozens of photographs to be used in the professional color flyer to advertise the house. The photographs were outstanding and the flyer turned out spectacular. A couple of weeks later our home was on the Realtor caravan in Park City. Al's and his team, catered the event and even brought a large vase of flowers for the kitchen table. Approximately twenty Realtors went through the house and two even brought clients through the house.
Throughout this time we kept the home fairly neat and picked up; however with four children and two dogs it was not always easy. Al always gave us plenty of notice to show the house, unless of course he was called on very short notice. We always tried to accommodate the showings and he promptly gave us any feedback that the other Realtors or their clients had to share. He made it a point to be at the house to greet a Realtor who was bringing a buyer, and answer questions. He told us that was part of his job since he knew the house better than they did by virtue of it being his listing.
Last but not least, Al and his team always returned our phone calls, sometimes within a few minutes, always within a day. When I got discouraged once or twice, one of them would give me a pep talk and give me the encouragement I needed. And when that coveted offer came in, only 6 or 7 weeks after the house went into the MLS, Al composed a fantastic narrative paraphrasing everything he and I had talked about in out counter offer discussion. I believe that narrative was critical in the other party accepting our second counter offer. Three weeks after we closed on our Park City house I activated my real estate license and joined the ranks the Realtor community. I kidded all before I left Park City, "I'm going to aspire to be the Al Barbosa of my new Neighborhood." You know what? I wasn't kidding.
